A bomb blast has ripped through a busy market in Peshawar, killing at least 80 people and wounding more than 200.
Hospital sources says many of the injured victims are in critical condition. The blast has destroyed more than 25 shops. Police say that over 20 people may still be buried under the rubble.
So far no group has claimed responsibility for the attack. All markets in Peshawar have been shut down due to security concerns. Pakistan's President,
Asif Ali Zardari, has strongly condemned the blast and reiterated his resolve that the government will not to be deterred by such cowardly acts.
