International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge is in Eastern China's Shandong Province for China's National Games. Earlier on Friday, he attended the opening ceremony of the Chinese Sports Art Exhibition.
Rogge said the exhibition highlights how sports combine with art and culture to form the heart and soul of the Olympic movement.The exhibition highlights artists whose work is inspired by sports. The IOC president is in China for the 11th Chinese National Games.
It is his first visit to the country since the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Later on Friday, Rogge will meet with Chinese President Hu Jintao and attend the opening ceremony of the National Games.
