This year is the 60th anniversary of the establishment of China-Russian diplomatic relations. In the exclusive interview by Russian channel of China Central Television, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov said this year is a remarkable year for China and Russia.

Alexander Zhukov said, "This year is a remarkable year for China and Russia in many ways. First of all, China has been established for 60 years. The Soviet Union was the first country to recognize China. In the beginning, two countries has laid solid foundation for the future developments. In recent years, the border issue has been settled. Cultural and humanities cooperation have reached to a new high. The two countries have succssfully held China Year in Russia and Russia Year in China. In enegy cooperation, the Russia and China have signed the largest energy agreement in the world with 100 billion dollars. In investment, there are huge protential in industry, manufacture, agriculture and construcing material areas. China and Russia is promoting the trade coopertation in the border areas."

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov said this year is a remarkable year for China and Russia.

Talking about the impact on the bilateral trade relations by the global financial crisis, the Russian Deputy Prime Minister said it may create new oppoturnities for the two countries.
