The head of the UN World Food Programme says the organization is determined to keep up full operations in the country, despite a suicide bomb attack on its office which killed five people.

The executive director, Josete Sheeran, is on a visit to Pakistan. She has met with President Asif Ali Zardari and Cabinet officials. Sheeran said that security officials are conducting a full review of the WFP's operations in Pakistan and doubling the security management team.

The United Nations temporarily closed all its offices in Pakistan after the attack. Despite the closures, the UN says its Pakistani partner organizations will continue distributing food, medicine and other humanitarian assistance.

The World Food Program has announced it will reassess the situation over the next few days.
