Iran test-fires long-range missiles

Iran has test-fired more missiles. The Iranian military said the ones they tested this time are the longest-range missiles in its arsenal They are capable of striking targets in Israel, or US military bases in the Middle East even Europe.

During the recent drills, Iran's Revolutionary Guard tested the Shahab-3 and Sajjil missiles. These weapons can potentially shoot down targets from as far away as two-thousand kilometers.

The Shahab-3 uses a combination of solid and liquid fuel in its most advanced forms.

While the Sajjil-2 is Iran's most advanced two-stage surface-to-surface missile powered entirely by solid-fuel which increases the missiles' accuracy.

This was the third round of missile tests in two days of drills by the Guardan occasion for Iran to showcase its military might.

General Hossein Salani, Commander of Revolutionary Guard Air Force, said, "We've carried out the drill in order to enhance the capability and dexterity of our personnel as well as evaluating the improvements achieved in the launching system of the missiles."
