Anniversary rehearsals for National Day celebrations start

Beijing is rehearsing for China's 60th anniversary National Day celebrations, from August 28th to September 26th. Rehearsals include a military parade, a pageant and a night gala.

On Saturday between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m., the pageant rehearsal was held in both Tian'anmen Square and Chang'an avenue. A 3-hour gala rehearsal will begin in Tian'anmen Square at 11 p.m. on Saturday.
