A goal in each half from Ruben Gonzalez and substitute Alhassane Keita gave Real Mallorca a 2-0 win over Osasuna in Spain's La Liga on Monday, to take Gregorio Manzano's side back into fourth place in the table and plunge the visitors back into the relegation mire.

With much pressure on both sides, the first half produced few clear-cut chances. But on 35 minutes Mallorca forced a corner from a Fernando Valera shot and moments later took the lead. Borja Volero's delivery found the head of Ruben Gonzalez and he celebrated his first goal of the season.

With the last action of the half, Nacho Monreal, Carlos Aranda and Francisco Juanfran all combined from a throw-in, but Hungarian international Krisztian Vadocz forced a fine save out of Ricardo in the Real goal.

Six minutes after the restart, Aritz Aduriz broke free on the left and after cutting inside the Osasuna defence, curled a right foot shot onto the crossbar. Both sets of players became more nervous after that.

In the first minute of stoppage time, Guinea international Alhassane Keita, who had only come on as a substitute moments before, was put through on goal by Aduriz. 2-0 Malloca, and that was how it stayed.

Turning to the standings, Real Madrid stands at 83 points from 33 games, one behind Barcelona, who also have five games left to play. While Valencia stays third - occupying the last automatic Champions League qualification spot - four points above fourth-placed Real Mallorca. Sevilla drops fifth with one point less.
