Inter Milan meets defending champion Barcelona in the semi-finals on Tuesday. The Italian club is hoping to copy Barca's treble-winning success of 2009. Barcelona won the Champions League, Spanish League, and Spanish Cup last year. Inter Milan reached the final of the Italian Cup this year, and could come up with an Italian version of European football's triple-crown.

Inter Milan and European champion Barcelona already met in the Champions League group stage twice this season. Barcelona won 2-0 at the Camp Nou stadium, and the teams drew 0-0 at the San Siro.

Each team contributed to the demise of two English clubs in the previous stage. Jose Mourinho said he understood why Tuesday's game was attracting so much attention, given how English teams have dominated the competition in recent years.
