Barca thrash Deportivo 3-0

We begin with football, and Barcelona has taken another step towards the La Liga title as they thrashed Deportivo 3-0 at home on Wednesday. For once Lionel Messi did not get on the scoresheet for the home side.

16 minutes into the game, Barca opens the scoring. Xavi found the ball at his feet at the edge of the box, and his neat ball through found the feet of youngster Bojan - and he made no mistake from close range.

'Barca' was in solid form on the night and they almost added a second in sensational style. Daniel Alves hit the crossbar with an overhead kick from a ridiculous angle, and Xavi could only put the follow up straight into the keeper's arms.

Barcelona, would keep pressing. Bojan, looking for his second...missed a chance he usually converts just five minutes from the break.
