The 23 year old Frenchman just came back from an 11 month suspension after testing positive for cocaine in 2009. The former world number seven showed glimpses of his previous form, taking the first set 6-2. But he then lost his concentration allowing Gimeno-Traver to seize the initiative winning the second 6-4 to level the match. But Gimeno-Traver was unable to match Gasquet's performance in the third losing it 6-2 as the Spaniard hit a wild forehand on match point.
