Bayern Munich edge Man. United 2-1

We begin with a big night in the Champions League as quarter-final play began with two matchups. We start with Manchester United in Germany to play Bayern Munich in leg one.

Man U opens the scoring early, in the second minute through Wayne Rooney. The striker, recording his 34th goal of the season for Man U. But he would cause concern for his team when he limped off the field late on with what seemed to be an ankle injury.

76 minutes, Bayern didn't equalize until the 77th minute when Franck Ribery's 20-meter free kick deflected in off the defensive wall. 1-1.
