Chinese team arrives for Paralympics

The Paralympic Games begin in Vancouver in 10 days. The Chinese team arrived in Canada on Sunday. And team members say they will try their best to compete for the medals.

The Chinese team features 12 members, including 7 athletes. They will all compete in cross-country skiing. The athletes have been training in North-east China's Heilongjiang province since December.

China began taking part in the Paralympics 2002. The country got its best result in Italy in 2006, when Han Lixia took fifth in cross-country skiing. The Paralympics will run from March the 12th to the 21st, featuring five sports: cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, biathlon, ice sledge hockey and wheelchair curling.
