New sponsors unveiled for Sochi Olympic

Looking ahead to 2014 the organizers of the next Winter Games are announcing a new major sponsor.

The deal with Russian Railway is worth a total of 115 million US dollars, and it will include direct sponsorship and investment in infrastructure.

Russian Railways joins state-controlled long-distance telephone company Rostelecom and Russia's No. 3 mobile carrier, MegaFon, as major sponsors of the Sochi Games.

Dmitry Chernyshenko, President, Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee, said, "The key factor of the success is we enjoy the full support of the whole population of Russia and everyone considers this a national project. It's not just a single city project and everybody is very eager to be involved and engaged in this project which creates some competitive advantage for industry leaders engaged in the project."
