Li Chao faced his former teammate Li Qiang in the final. Both fighters were evenly matched in ability and tactics, so this was a real difficult match for the experts and spectators to predict.

Li Chao cruised to the final by beating national team veteran Gao Linzhi in a lopsided match. And Li Chao kept his momentum, notching four points in a row to take an early lead. Li Chao beat his opponent to the punch to score his points in the opening round.
