Mixed doubles tennis, Li Zhe and Peng Shuai of Tianjin faced Yu Xinyuan and Liu Wanting of Beijing. Peng was looking for her second gold after she claimed the women's group title earlier in the Games. Peng and her partner Li Zhe were on form in Sunday's clash, and took the early lead by winning the first three games in the opening set.

But the Beijing pair showed their potential by taking the next three games to level the set at 3 games apiece.

The set went to a tiebreak, and Beijing pair came up with the confidence they needed to win it 7-5.  The two teams engaged in a long and entertaining rally for set point.

Li Zhe and Peng Shuai came back in the second set and didn't let up.  The two players won it 6-4.

That forced the game into a third set. The big moment came when Li and Peng took the 5-2 lead.

Then, the Tianjin pair grabbed their chance and seal the victory with 6-2 of last set and the match.
