Sun Wenli wins men's 1500M

Shandong's Sun Wenli, the gold medalist of the men's 3000 meters steeplechase, delighted the home crowd again in the men's 1500m final.

Sun's opponents had accused Sun of barging his way to victory in the men's steeplechase on Wednesday. Sun denied any blocking or pushing tactics. Those accusations seeming to help him focus on the race.

Sun passed Xu Song from PLA in the final thirty meters to win the gold in 3 minutes, 44.98 seconds. Xu finished second, with Shanghai's Zhang Haikun standing third.

Sun proved his strength once again.
