Yunnan beat Shanghai to claim archery title

The archery event of the National Games has continued in Qingdao Yunnan clinched the team title on Thursday, after beating Shanghai 204-201 in the final.

Shanghai had knocked out host Shandong in the semifinals.. And they seemed to still be reeling from their previous victory in their final clash against Yunnan, as Shanghai never found their form at the beginning of the competition. They were quickly trailing 48-56 after the first two rounds.

Shanghai once tried to narrow the gap to four points. In the 7th round, they even cut the deficit to 2 points. But Yunnan never gave their opponents any chances, holding their lead to seal the final victory 204-201.

The bronze medal went to host team Shandong, after they beat the PLA team 215-198.
