Ma Liang wins men hammer

Tian Mengxu took the first gold in the track, and the second gold medal went to the field event in the Shandong capital. Ma Liang from Heilongjiang won the men's hammer with 71.01 meters.

Qi Dakai from Shaanxi finished second with 70.77 meters.

Home favorit, Zhao Yihai from Shandong finished third with 70.66 meters.

So Heilongjiang took the second athletics gold, while the hosts took silver in their Olympic Sports Center.
