Tianjin win women's water polo gold

The National Games women's event wrapped up its five-day competition on Tuesday with Tianjin claiming the title.

Tianjin faced Guangxi in the final clash. Tianjin got off to a flying start, taking a 2 point lead. Tianjin then increased its lead to four points. Guangxi managed to make a comeback, but it was too much of a task to realize. Tianjin finally sealed the victory 15-8.

With the win, Tianjin claimed the gold medal with 8 points, after getting four wins from four matches. Guangxi won the silver with three wins and one losses. The third place went to Sichuan with two wins and two losses.

The men's water polo competition begins next Wednesday.
