Yang Yu claims women's 200m freestyle gold

Another winner of Tuesday's competition went to world champion Yang Yu. She was first in the women's 200m freestyle.
  
Yang won in the 2009 world championships,and she powered home in one minute 56.74 seconds, holding off second-placed Song Wenyan who swam 1 minute 57.36. Yang's teammate Pang Jiayin settled for bronze.
 
Yang and Pang, together with another two teammates swam in seven minutes 42.08 seconds in the 4x200m freestyle relay at the Rome World Championships.  That time knocked more than two seconds off Australia's world record set at the Beijing Olympics.

The veteran freestyler Yang says she will retire after the National Games.
