Tennis action got underway at the National Games on Monday. Athens Olympic women's doubles gold medalist Sun Tiantian took an easy win over Yin Xianghong of Liaoning in singles play on opening day. The 28-year-old Sun Tiantian represented Henan, and she demonstrated her Olympic championship ability against the rookie Yin. Yin showed a strong serve, but her groundstrokes were off-target. Sun dominated the match and gave her opponent few chances to get on the scoreboard. The final score read 6-1, 6-0 for Sun Tiantian.
