Olympic Champions fail to win at National Games

The 11th National Games is proving to be a nightmare for Olympic shooting champions Du Li, Zhu Qinan and Ma Zhanbo. They all failed to even make the final eight in their events at the shooting hall. Du Li battled with 6 riflers for 3 places in the final during the qualification round for the women's 10-meter air rifle. Her last shot in the 5-shot shoot-off scored a near perfect 10.9 points, but she still missed the final by just a tenth of a point.

Du Li, who missed National Games Final, says,"People now have a better understanding of the sport of shooting. It doesn't mean a absolute victory for Olympic champions. Probably because I didn't take part many times in the national competitions, they do not seem to be friendly to me. So people feel that the National Games are relatively hard for me. But for me it is acceptable."
