In our latest installment of "Fitness for All" we take a look at a somewhat controversial activity. It is pole dancing, which gained prominence in the adult clubs of Canada in the 1980s, and is now being recognized by many as a valid form of dance.

Nowadays, it's more than just a sexy routine danced around a pole. It is a full cardio workout that can easily burn calories. And here in the capital city of Beijing, many people are turning to it as a work-out.

Jonas said,"So what do you think of pole dance?"

"I don't think pole dance is a good activity. Chinese people are very conservative. It's difficult for us to accept it."

"I myself, like pole dancing very much. I think it's a healthy activity and also popular."

"It can help keep one fit. It's fashionable, and actually pole dancing is normal in western countries, I know some singers also practice pole dance."

This pole dance studio is located in the eastern part of Beijing. Every morning, the club will be packed with students learning pole dancing.
