Overseas media praise China's quake rescue

The devastating earthquake in Yushu autonomous prefecture has also drawn the attention of overseas media. Organizations from France and Japan have highly praised China's quake rescue and relief operation.

France 24 says Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao arrived in Yushu for an inspection immediately after the quake happened. France National News Channel Two notes the Chinese government has allocated over 200 million yuan for reconstruction, relocation and disease prevention. Le Mond also depicts the difficulties of the quake rescue operation. In Japan, Tokyo web highly praises the rescuers ability to overcome the problems of high altitude and transportation. The Asahi Shimbun concentrates on the Chinese leaders' reaction. Japan Broadcasting Corporation particularly reports that President Hu Jintao urgently flew to Yushu from abroad to observe the quake rescue and relief.
