Iran says will respond positively if US changes its policy

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says his country will respond positively if the US changes its policy towards Tehran.

He repeated that Iran's nuclear programme is intended only for peaceful power generation and is not a threat.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iranian President, said, "We are ready to talk to and to cooperate with the US, if our rights, independence, and honor are respected, and also acknowledging Iran will benefit both sides. As far as Iran is concerned, we are not after any confrontation."
