People living in other parts of the nation are concerned about the severe drought situation in Southwest China. They are offering aid to the affected residents.

This drought resistant agent is a special local product of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

Workers have been working overtime to raise their production capacity.

"Usually we finish our work at 6 o'clock. But these days we work until 10 o'clock. We just want to deliver our products as soon as possible, reducing hardships for the people affected." One worker said.

50 tons of the agent is on its way to the drought-affected region. It will relieve the dry conditions for over 30 thousand hectares of farmlands.

220 tons of fresh water and 10 tons of rice from Guangdong province are heading to drought-hit regions.

Zhejiang Province is accepting students from disaster areas in an effort to offer help.

"I like it here, because we have water here." Student from Guizhou Province said.

People around the country are donating money to regions plagued by the drought.

One donor said, "We're helping them dig more wells, construct more channels, and deliver more water. We are giving them a hand to get through the difficulty."

China's Red Cross and many other charity organizations are all accepting contributions from compassionate people.
