Anti-government protests are still being waged in the Thai capital. Thousands of protesters have given their blood for the demonstrations after Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva refused to dissolve parliament.
Bangkok was a bloody scene Tuesday night. Red-shirted anti-government protestors poured jugs of their own blood at the front gate of the Government House and outside the ruling party's offices.
They are calling it a symbolic sacrifice to denounce the prime minister's regime, and to press their demands for new elections.
Each volunteer gave 10 cubic centimeters of blood. The leaders had expected to collect one million cubic centimeters of blood.
