Special Report: Strong Quake Hits Haiti |
Children in Haiti are starting to go back to school for the first time since the January 12th earthquake tore apart Port-au-Prince.
The classroom at a golf club is one of several makeshift schools set up in tent cities around the devastated capital. The temporary school is part of a joint effort by two Haitian and Israeli Non-Governmental Organizations. It's designed to create a sense of normality for children left homeless by the disaster.
Alzir Reaucourd, teacher, said, "We are trying to organize a camp to occupy the children and to provide some psychological support as well as games and educative activities for them."
