Survivors need food, medical care in Haiti

Special Report: Strong Quake Hits Haiti |

Tens of thousands of displaced people in Haiti are still in desperate need of food and shelter. And a seemingly never-ending stream of injured people is straining the hospitals to the limit.

Bermane Camp is near the airport in Port-au-Prince. A sea of makeshift tents is the only shelter for thousands of earthquake victims.

The pace of food and medical aid deliveries has begun to pick up.

Aid workers distributed more than 250 thousand daily food rations.

But that is still far short of the need.
