On Monday, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea proposed concluding a peace treaty to formally end the Korean War.
On Tuesday,the country emphasized that all sanctions against the country must be lifted as a condition to rejoin the six-party talks and to formally end the war.
The DPRK's envoy to the United Nations says his country is willing to take part in comprehensive talks.
Sin Son Ho, DPRK Permanent UN Representative, said, "We can of course work in parallel, for the denuclearization process on Korean peninsula and also signing of the peace treaty between the DPRK and the USA."
But the DPRK maintains that all sanctions must be lifted.
