The US has enhanced security screening procedures for individuals traveling from, or through, 14 specific countries. Airline passengers are displaying mixed attitudes toward the additional security checks.
The 14 countries falling under the beefed up US security measures are Yemen, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Cuba, Iran, Sudan, Syria, Afghanistan, Algeria, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Pakistan, and Somalia.
The US has designated Cuba, Iran, Sudan, and Syria as state sponsors of militants. The other 10 nations are considered places "of interest," based on the latest intelligence.
