Special Report: UN climate change conference in Copenhagen |

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang has said that the Copenhagen climate summit has achieved substantive results. Addressing a press conference in Beijing on Sunday, Qin said that one of the summit's main achievements was upholding the fundamental principle of common but differentiated responsibilities established by the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Kyoto Protocol.

In addition, a series of agreements have been reached, including future strategy, funding, technological support and transparency. Qin called on all countries to honor their pledges. The UN Climate Change Conference concluded in the Danish capital on Saturday with a legally non-binding agreement, the Copenhagen Accord.
