Exhibition of treasures marks anniversary

The Macao Museum of Art is holding an exhibition showcasing treasures from the Palace Museum in Beijing. It's part of the special events to mark the 10th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland.

"This exhibition is titled 'Season of Return-Treasures from the Palace Museum'. It gives visitors a different time-line of China's long history. The creation time of the items spans 5,000 years of Chinese civilization. The treasures include calligraphy rubbings, paintings, kesi silks, gold and silverware, bronze ware, Buddhist statues, porcelain, jadeware, enamel ware, and lacquer work, as well as bamboo, wood, ivory and horn objects. Curator of the Macao Museum of Art, Mr. Chen Haoxing, explains the special significance of this exhibition.
