The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency says that United Nations inspectors have found no indications that Iran has any more covert nuclear facilities.
Mohamed Elbaradei, IAEA Director-General, said, "We have no indication that there are other undeclared facilities in Iran. I want to be very clear about that. Nor do we have any information that such facilities exist."
Elbaradei also said Iran's insistence on changing a nuclear fuel deal can not be accepted by Western powers, because it would not reduce its enriched uranium stockpile, which the west fears Iran could use to build an atomic bomb. He said he was advising the major powers to wait for Iran to take a viable stance on its fuel plan. The IAEA head also said any recourse to harsher sanctions against Iran is likely to be counterproductive.
