Special Report: UN climate change conference in Copenhagen |

African leaders have agreed on how much cash they will demand from the developed world to compensate for the impact of climate change on the continent.

Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi will represent Africa at next month's UN Summit on Climate Change in Copenhagen.

He declined to disclose the exact number but said leaders had "set a minimum" amount.

Zenawi has threatened a walkout of the 52 African nations he will represent. He said his priorities at the talks would be to ensure carbon emissions reduction and to secure a fair yearly compensation amount for Africa.
