Special Report: Afghan presidential election |
In Afghanistan, election authorities have begun moving ballot boxes into provinces ahead of a presidential election run-off on November 7th.
Security concerns are still casting a shadow as officials begin preparations for the vote. Taliban militants have threatened to "launch operations and stop people from taking part."
The approach of winter also poses daunting logistical challenges, with some parts of the country already difficult to access.
Election officials say they will rely on UN planes, trucks and donkeys to deliver ballots to far-flung areas.
