After Obama's national emergency declaration, our correspondent spoke to Sheng Zongmei, a Chinese-American expert from the US National Institute of Health, who says the A/H1N1 flu virus is scary but not invincible.

Sheng Zongmei says the A/H1N1 virus has a high incidence among youth, and can live quite a long time.

The 1918 flu pandemic, which was similar to the A/H1N1 flu, claimed 500 million deaths worldwide. But with the improvement of health care, and advanced knowledge of prevention and control, 1918 won't happen again.

Sheng Zongmei. US National Institute of Health, said, "Washing your hands is an important way. After you enter your office and home, washing your hands could eliminate the virus."
