Overseas media praise China's great achievements in 60 years

Overseas media from Russia, the US, the DPRK and Japan all reported on the 60th anniversary of the People's Republic. They praised the great achievements China has made in the past six decades.

Russian NTV said Thursday's parade was one of the most spectacular military parades since the founding of the People's Republic. It said the parade also showcased new military equipment for the first time. And the mass pageant is also impressive.

The US Wall Street Journal noted while the number of people participating in the military parade this year was fewer than a decade ago, the equipment was admirable.

DPRK's Rodong Sinmun extended its congratulations to the Chinese people and lauded China's achievements since the founding of the People's Republic. It said it is willing to enhance bilateral relations with China.

In Japan, major newspapers also dedicated special coverage to China's National Day celebrations. It recognized China's national power and international status have been greatly improved.
