Patterns of the number 60 and a sea of red, five-star flags filled Tian'amen Square at yesterday's National Day Parade, while celebrations and national pride were being experienced across the country.

Military Cadet, Changsha, Hunan province said "Very encouraging. The military parade is a showcase of the might of Chinese army. It's an honor to be an military cadet. I'm so proud."

Student of Tsinghua University said "We're impressed by the grand scene, and we're proud to be born during this great time."

Harbin Resident said "I'm very excited. I'm 60 years old, like our country. I feel happy and proud from the bottom of my heart to see the motherland become so strong."

Nanjing Massacre Survivor, Jiangsu Province said "I lead a good life now. With the country and the Party, I have nothing to worry about."

Hong Kong SAR resident said "So inspiring. Today, China has become a strong country, so I'm happy."

Overseas Chinese, Zhongshan, Guangdong Province said "I come back, after 60 years, things are different. We can see China's achievements in the past six decades. China has a future, then we overseas Chinese have a future."

Army Veteran, Zhengzhou, Henan Province said "We have a strong country, happy citizens, and confidence. We can build a more prosperous country as long as we have the ambition."
