Special Report: 60th Anniversary of PRC |
80,000 primary and middle school students will be performing at Tian'anmen Square on National Day. The kids are preparing for a variation of the card stunt. They'll flip paper flowers on cue to form more than 40 pictures and Chinese characters.
Someone is tall, and someone else is short.
So how do you keep the picture flat? Help is in the bag.
Each bag contains two trestles. Students can put the props on the trestles during the three-hour performance. This will keep the flowers parallel and the picture flat.
But each picture only lasts seconds. How can students coordinate their equipment?
Each flower is made of two colors. One flip changes the color in a second.
The two trestles are adjustable. Students can prepare for the next picture while pulling back the previous one.
Every trestle has a buckle. The flowers can be fastened to resist the wind. And students stand on the trestle foot to keep it stable.
There are 49 pictures in all.
