Now, let's turn to today's introduction to Chinese provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities. Our focus for today is Chongqing.

Situated on the edge of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, the municipality of Chongqing is best described as southwest China's commercial capital. Since 1997, Chongqing has been the fourth municipality under central government's direct administration.

As the major port of the upper Yangtze River and gateway to the "Three Gorges," Chongqing now includes most of the former eastern Sichuan Province, and has a population of 30 million.

As one of the "Three Furnaces", Chongqing's summers are among the fiercest in China. However, even in the hottest weather, the wind is often cold, making such weather more bearable.

Tea drinking is one of local residents' greatest pleasures and visiting a tea house has become regular leisure routine. If you want to learn more about the city, why not join them?
