In this next instalment of our China on the move series. Rising numbers of overseas Chinese are returning to China.

They say they are proud of China's increasingly growing national strength and are eager to contribute to their homeland's drive for modernization. Our reporter Liu Ming spoke with one man who has returned after living in the United States for more than 15 years.

He Zhongmin went to the United States 15 years ago. He earned his Doctorate degree, set up his family and worked as engineer in the US until last year. He had long intended to return to China.

He finally made up his mind in 2008. He quit his job which paid him a million US dollars a year and started his own company back in China.

He says it's a shared responsibility for Chinese all over the world to help build their homeland.

Although many more people are returning to China, Chinese Education Ministry figures show that the return rate of overseas students is still low, at 28%.

Differences in the working environment, salaries and benefits packages are still making many Chinese students reluctant to come back.
