Yan Fengying (1930-1968): Forever One of the Seven Fairies

Yan Fengying was a well-known performer of Huangmei Opera in China. Yan created new singing and performance styles in Huangmei Opera, and made great contributions to Huangmei Opera’s development. Her famous works, such as The Marriage of the Fairy Princess and The Story of Chinese Valentine's Day, were popular throughout China and made Huangmei Opera one of the most popular operas today.
