If you're looking for family-oriented theatre, China Children's Art Theatre has announced its three-month performance season from April to June.

A selection of 25 classic dramas and new productions will entertain the young audiences. With so many shows in the line-up, it reflects the theatre's efforts to become a steady companion for the young generation.

"Malan Flower", "Little Tadpole Looking for Mum", "Run Rabbit!", "Monkey King", all are commonly known children's plays from the 1980s in China.

The stories might be new to today's children, but their parents can't help recalling the memories of the works and the veteran artists behind them.

Lian Dezhi, veteran performer of China Children's Art Theatre, said, "Only by staging a series of classic dramas of yesterday and today can the audience always have good plays to watch. If a show is kept in storage after its debut, the new viewers won't have a chance to see it."

Wang Yang, actress of China Children's Art Theatre, said, "I took part in three performances before this season. All three were classic plays. Each performance took me back to yesteryear. Each experience is a kind of education."
