The show is the result of three years of hard work, with Zhang and the production team visiting Ningxia several times. Its line up includes composer Zhao Jiping, playwright Zhang Zongcan and singers Tan Jing, Wang Hongweo and Lei Jia.

The production has impressed audiences with its colorful lighting and extraordinary audio effects.

An audience member said, "The stage is beautiful, with its big screen and lighting. Each performers has brought out the full extent of their roles."

The show runs for three consecutive nights at the Poly Theatre before embarking on a national tour.
