Cultural gala takes stage in New Zealand

New Zealand has celebrated the Lantern Festival with a gala performed by Chinese performers representing diverse ethnic groups.

The show, titled "Cultural China, Spring Festival Celebrated All Around", was staged in the country's largest city, Auckland.

The 2-thousand-strong audience at Auckland's Aotea Center Theater included Kiwis and overseas Chinese alike.

The gala was organized by the State Council's Overseas Chinese Affair Office and included song and dance performances from multiple ethnic groups.

The China National Ethnic Song and Dance Ensemble also performed at Sunday's show. The gala arrived in Auckland after touring four cities in Australia.
