People across the country are preparing to bring in the Year of the Tiger with colorful celebrations. Let's take a look at the buildup.
Lanterns, Chinese knots, banners and wall hangings, streets in southwestern Guizhou province are crammed with red decorations, for good luck.
Shopping malls are also packed with Spring Festival specials.
Ran Longxuan, customer, said, "I am here to buy something for the upcoming Spring Festival."
Qiao Shenfen, merchant, said, "We re-stocked products ten days ago. The business is very good."
Temple fair is the traditional mass gathering that integrates religious worship, entertainment and commerce. It's being held in Zhengzhou, in central China's Henan province.
During the six-day event visitors can enjoy traditional performances from around the country, and join in various folk activities.
In northern Hebei province, folk dancing is held everyday during the Festival.
People in northwestern Qinghai province are also preparing for singing and dancing.
And in the eastern city of Qingdao, Shandong province, red lanterns can be seen everywhere. 100-thousand have been decorated along the city's coast.
