The latest stage drama "Men and Women: Peace and War" is coming to Beijing this December. The production, featuring the performances of Denise Ho, Ariel Lin, and David Wang, has won rave reviews in Hong Kong.

While most of the actors are busy rehearsing in Taipei, the show's director Edward Lam showed up in Beijing to meet the local press. The dramatist went out his way to introduce the leading cast members. Among them are Denise Ho, a rising pop singer in Hong Kong, Ariel Lin, a TV romance actress in Taiwan, and David Wang, a stage actor with newfound fame.

The story is about the relationship between a man and two women. David Wang and Denise Ho play a pair of rival TV hosts who come to like each other. As director, Edward Lam is determined to show an unknown side of Denise Ho.

Edward Lam said, "I liked her at first sight. She's so full of vigor. In the world of Chinese language entertainment, it's very hard to find a female comedian like her. I consider her to be a symbol of youth and vigor. She's a real character."

In the story, Ariel Lin plays a young woman who looks fragile, but is actually strong and resolute.

Edward Lam said, "Ariel Lin's role is very magical. Every time she comes onto the stage, she has a different demeanor. Actually all of us have been impressed by the cute little roles she plays, like the foxy girl, cunning spy, or cute angel. Her role in my play will be a challenge to her."

The stage drama "Men and Women: Peace and War" will run at Poly Theater from December 23rd to 26th, before touring other major mainland cities and Singapore.
