Young parents may think they know their children - but it seems they have much to learn. A documentary film Kids Kingdom reveals the real world of kids to adults - especially to young parents.

This documentary by Professor Zhang Tongdao follows the children at a kindergarten in the suburbs of Beijing.

It focuses on three kids. There's four-year-old Chen Chen, who waits in the yard for her friend Nan De every morning. Then there's five year old Chi Yiyang, the leader of a group of boys, little Yiyang's mischief is always a headache for the teacher. And two year old Xi Kun, whose strange behavior reveals tremendous curiosity.

The documentary delves into delicate emotions, the power to influence others, and curiosity about the unknown, all in a "Kid's Kingdom".
