Toyota apologizes to Chinese consumers

Toyota's President Akio Toyoda has offered an apology to Chinese consumers over its massive global recall. Toyoda also introduced the company's latest measures to improve its quality control at a news conference in Beijing.

On Monday, the head of Toyota apologized to consumers in the world's largest auto market, in Beijing.

Akio Toyota, President of Toyota Motor Corp., said. "I would like to apologize from the bottom of my heart for the worries that we have caused to the people around the world, including China, for the recent recalls. I'm very sorry."
